first of all, you a.ss FORTUNATO! the * I * want a Rick! Unless succeed in finding your answer via Google, I once wrote to Rickenbacker with the EXACT the same question. Can I try to dig up their response. All I remember offhand is using Rotosound strings, he 's got it has settled a stereo ( "Rik-o-Sound") & something about compression…

I 'the VE has always requested that myself. I know that he played with a selection, unlike most of us, but I don 't know what changes could make the bass to get that rumbling sound from it. I learned that a pair of local types who have played a Rick and one of them has played in a band that has meant coverings. He couldn 't quite duplicate that sound.

Use the collection of the neck, then use a circuit filter for directing the high frequencies to a guitar amp and a low amp for bass. Legend.

It depends rick that you are using. The gentleman has used a 1999, which was the mono version of inexpensive stereo bass of 4001. His seemed to be done by Rosa Morris ( 'imported' to Europe) 1999 is a bass suonante very hot and gets its tone using only the collection of the neck. The collection bridge is completely disconnected. He also Bi-amped its signal - a division of removal of a high-frequency amplifier to a separate guitar cable and sea bass with a bass amp standard. That allows very clearly so when applied distortion, it still comes with clean. Often using a selection and use new strings exposure each and every session of registration.
