what is the best set up for a solo guitarist?

Can I play acoustic and electric. Using usually a Rickenbacker 330. I'm trying the best way to support my game.

Completely depends on what you are playing. Paul Simon has gone through a phase with the vocals of Ladysmith! And it worked!
